Sudionici iz slovačke o našoj razmjeni mladih ”Growing up your nature”
”Project „,Growing up your nature” is an exchange project, carried out in Vrhovčak, Croatia. The project is centered around healthy lifestyle, nature and sustainable practices, it took place between 18.3. 2024 and 26.3. 2024. Our team is from Slovakia and we travelled by bus from Bratislava. After arriving we were randomly distributed into rooms with 2 – 5 other participants. The next day the program began, The first day consisted mainly of introduction to the exchange project, team-building and general getting to know each other activities. All of us were able to encounter other participants and eventually befriend them. On Wednesday we had „forest school”, thanks to which we gained new knowledge about local nature and the forest. Although the program lasted from morning to evening, we had enough free-time to talk and hang out with our new friends. In the afternoon we had a workshop about healthy lifestyle, which was interesting and we gained a lot of new information. On Thursday, the program involved games from nature and digital workshop. In the morning, Marinko taught us a traditional Croatian game called Piriz i pala. The digital workshop’s name was „,Mother nature meets hollywood”, our job was to create a short video in four random teams, the topics were – the earth element, the perspective of ignorant, the air element and green practices. We had designated time to work on the videos every day until Sunday, when we had the presentation of our output. However, the program was a bit different on Friday, as we went to Samobor and played treasure hunt in teams. We spent there the whole day and came back for dinner. The following day, our task was to build a bird house, again in teams. Whereas the program on Sunday was not as rough and tiring, our challenge was to cook an appetizer, main course, salad and dessert. Throughout the whole project every national team had to bring their own workshop to present. Monday consisted only of Youth pass and the final ceremony.
To conclude, our exchange program underscored the importance of healthy lifestyles, environmental consciousness and collaboration. Through diverse activites and workshops, we gained insights into sustainable practices and formed meaningful connections with foreigners. This experience highlighted the value of fostering environmental awareness and working together towards a more sustainable future.” – Alona A.
