Greek team sharing experience from Green Lab project
”After every exchange program your mind and your heart is full of experiences and emotions. In this project I had the opportunity to explore new cultures, meet amazing people, and learn new skills.”
”The project take place in Greenville, a farm very beautiful and comfortable. The house was very cozy and the food was really great. It gave me the chance to connect with nature, relax and learn about the benefits of using natural products. We had daily workshops in order to make our own natural cosmetics. It was shocking to learn how toxic are the products we use every day. So we learned how to distinguish the good ingredients from harmful ones and we made our own natural cosmetics with easy recipes ,so we can also make them at home. My favorite part was when we made our label and we promoted them on social media. In the program I was able to meet and connect with people from various backgrounds and cultures, which made the experience more interesting. We had an amazing time singing and having conversations for hours around the fire. These moments created a unique bond between us, and we were able to create unforgettable memories. I’m really thankful I participated in this project organised by “Pozitiva Samobor”, I had a great time and I hope to have again the chance to visit beautiful Croatia and participate in another program of Pozitiva.” Dimitra B.

”In the March of 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in an Erasmus Plus youth exchange program in Croatia. The program was focused on learning about natural products and their benefits, and took place in the charming town of Samobor. Upon arriving in Samobor, I was struck by its beauty and quaint atmosphere. The town is situated at the foot of the Samobor hills, and is known for its picturesque streets and architecture. Our group was warmly welcomed by our Croatian hosts, who were eager to show us around and introduce us to their culture. Over the course of one week, we attended workshops on natural products, where we learned about the many benefits of using natural ingredients in our daily lives. We were taught how to make our own natural products, including soaps, scrubs, and lotions. These workshops were led by the organizer in the field, who shared their knowledge and expertise with us. Aside from the educational aspect of the program, we also had plenty of time to explore Samobor and its surroundings. We went on hikes in the Samobor hills, where we were treated to stunning views of the town and its surroundings. We also visited nearby cities, such as Zagreb, where we learned more about Croatian history and culture. But perhaps the most memorable aspect of the program was the friendships we made. Our group was made up of participants from all over Europe, and we quickly bonded over our shared interests and experiences. We spent our evenings chatting and laughing, trying local cuisine, and exploring the town together. Overall, my Erasmus Plus youth exchange program in Croatia was an unforgettable experience. I learned so much about natural products, and gained a new appreciation for their benefits. I also made lifelong friends, and was able to explore a beautiful part of Europe. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in learning about natural products or exploring Croatia.” Alexandros K.M

”Since the very first moment after arriving in this project my expectations were exceeded. Our national Greek team got instantly a very good mood. The organization team (Pozitiva Samobor) cared for us a lot when we arrived and throughout the project and I can definitely say that I felt like home. Beginning with the training activities, I gained a lot of knowledge on how to read and interpret the information written on the package of cosmetics products. This facilitated me to have a different approach on the ingredients of the products and it motivated me to create my own cleaning and cosmetic products with natural, organic and ecofriendly ingredients. This outcome could not be succeeded without the good vibe and the cooperation between participants. I made unique friendships from different countries and I am grateful for that. I also hope that one day I will come back to Croatia and participate again in Pozitiva’s projects. For me, it was the best project that I have participated in until now!” Sofia K.

”The Erasmus youth exchange program is an opportunity for young people to experience different cultures, meet new people, and learn new skills. My recent 8-day exchange in Samobor, Croatia was an unforgettable experience that taught me a lot not only about myself, but also the world around me.
The project took place in Greenville, a farm full of warm people that gave me the chance to get closer to nature. The farm was surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, and the air was crisp and clean. Each morning, I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the smell of fresh air. It was a stark contrast to the busy city life that I was used to, and it was a refreshing change. As we were all living in the same house, we had the chance to get closer and feel like family with each other. One of the highlights of the exchange was the organic products workshop that we participated in. My team was responsible for the soap. We learned how to make soap using natural ingredients like glycerin, essential oils and avocado oil. It was an eye-opening experience to learn how to make a product that was 100% natural and free from harmful chemicals. We worked in teams to create our own unique soap recipes and then packaged it and found a logo for our products in order to promote it in social media. I felt really creative during the whole process.
Apart from the soap-making workshop, we also participated in cultural activities like traditional dancing, music and food tasting. We learned about the local culture and history of Croatia, and we also shared our own cultures and traditions with the other participants. It was a great opportunity to make new friends from different countries and to learn about their cultures and perspectives. One of the most important things I learned is to cooperate with people from different countries and focus on our similarities instead of our differences. I feel that I grew a lot during this program. In addition I could not forget to mention the unique people I met. We had so much fun together during the morning activities and at nights singing and playing games around the fireplace. Not only they gave me countless memories but also we created together strong friendships.
Overall, my experience in Samobor was an enriching experience that taught me a lot about sustainability, eco-friendliness, and the importance of cultural exchange. It was an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, try new things, and make new friends. I would highly recommend the Erasmus youth exchange program to anyone looking to broaden their horizons and have an unforgettable experience. I wouldn’t be the same person without participating in a project like that. Greenville has a special place to my heart.” Vivan T.

”I really enjoyed my staying in farm . A place full of nature and animals where you can find inner peace and quite while you’re connected with the natural environment. 4 teams from 4 different countries had been interacting and cooperating for a week in order to get know each other and to create a natural product as deodorants, lipsticks, body creams etc. We started from learning basic information about natural products and non natural cosmetics and their ingredients , then we used ingredients in order to creat natural cosmetics, then we created a brand of the final product and its social media. During these days we had a lot of team-bonding activities and workouts . I personally enjoyed the coordinators work and effort , I made good friendships , I improved my language and communication skills. Last but not least , it was a great chance to leave my comfort zone in order to explore new cultures and to gain new knowledge.” Efstratios Z.
”From March 20 to March 28, 2023, I had the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus Youth Exchange Project in Samobor, Croatia. It was an incredible 8 days experience that I will never forget.
We stayed at Greenville, a charming accommodation located in a small village surrounded by nature. The location was perfect for our project, as we were going to learn how to make natural cosmetics out of pure ingredients. During the project, I had the chance to meet new people from different countries and learn about their cultures. It was a great opportunity to broaden my horizons and see the world from a different perspective. We had a lot of fun together, and I feel that we created strong bonds that will last for a long time. One of the most important things that I learned during this project was how to cooperate with others towards a common purpose. We were divided into small groups, and my group had to create a natural deodorant from scratch. It was a challenging task, but we managed to do it successfully, and the final result was amazing.
I also learned how to create a label with graphics and advertisement for our product. We had a workshop on social media management, and we created an Instagram account to promote our deodorant. It was an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and put them into practice. Besides the workshops, we also had some free time to explore the area and enjoy the Croatian culture. We also had a traditional Croatian dinner, where we tasted some of the most typical dishes from the region. Every night, we gathered around the fire, sang songs, and danced together. It was an unforgettable experience that brought us closer together and created a sense of community and friendship.” Athina D.
