Each day that passes I am sure that this is the experience of my life. I feel the Croatian team like a small family and the youth exchanges improving my skills; educational and personal.

The last Youth Exchange “Greenland” was about gardening. our participants are from Macedonia, Romania and Turkey. The first sessions about team-work and meeting to get to know each other were so dynamic.  We went on a treasure hunt, with the help of a poem and a map you had to find the next place where there were new clues. Finally my team won and made me very happy, we worked as a team together.

During the project we did a lot of activities outdoors, expanding knowledge of gardening; sanding and painting gardening beds for planting different vegetables, in addition we buring the seeds and also did transplants. My partner Cristina taught us about ecotourism; one sustainable and educational tourism respectful with nature. We did a big Mandala and searched elements in nature with a treasure map. We were also able to develop our creativity by painting and decorating barrels, making Easter eggs and planting at the front door of the house. Teamwork is essential for the development of all the tasks that was organized by Marko, who taught the participants how to do it.

During the intercultural evenings we travelled to the participants’ countries and tried exquisite food, and of course we sang and danced a lot of traditional songs.
