ABOUT THE PROJECT
The aim of the project is to contribute to the creation of a rural education center for children and youth with fewer opportunities. By applying specific methods (agriculture, environmental education, interaction with the local population, etc.) in the rural area, volunteers will design and develop the educational and recreational facilities of the future center.
Within this project, volunteers will develop the contents of sustainable and ecological tourism through agricultural activities (garden, flower garden), as well as the design and construction of educational facilities (outdoor recreation park).
Interacting with the local population, volunteers will design and develop the concept of social entrepreneurship based on the content they have previously developed. In this way, they will develop their knowledge and skills, mainly entrepreneurial initiative, intercultural awareness, communication skills, communication in a foreign language and various practical skills (eg tool handling, application of materials, maintenance, construction).
By discovering construction and renovation techniques, young people will develop an awareness of the importance of respecting and preserving nature and consequently promote social inclusion, interculturality and the strengthening of competencies.
Living in a community will enable volunteers to learn new languages, learn about other cultures, and develop their sense of social benefit and civic duty.
