"My European Passport" from first hand
The 5 Bulgarian participants were part of an Erasmus + story called “My European Passport”, during which they learned about the European Union and built a sense of a common European identity.

I really want to thank the whole team for the support we had before we arrived. For all the patience, dedication and friendly atmosphere they had for us. We felt encouraged and included all the time. The location, food and accommodation were perfect. But most of all I liked the friendly and homely atmosphere. The team was always there for us, literally 24/7 if we needed anything. Personally, I liked the team, all the participants and I think we made a very good friendship between our countries and ourselves as team members. I am happy for this opportunity!

I’m really amazed at how much fun I had here. I learned a lot about the European Union and now I feel more connected to it, even though I already had a lot of knowledge about the EU, because I study it at university. It was helpful. Perhaps I enjoyed the conversations I had with people from other countries the most. I came here with concerns that we might have some tensions with the Macedonian group, but they turned out to be some of the most amazing people I have ever met. I will tell all my friends at home that everything was good here, and I am looking forward to participating in the Pozitiva Samobor project again.

For me, the experience I gained in this program will change my life. The beauty of Croatia, the hospitality of the hosts and the engagement in the project were immensely touching and useful for me personally. The people we worked with this week were full of energy and knowledge. The project itself forced us all to explore our creative side and try to think outside the box, not omitting the facts and important information of the program. This week I learned more about Europe than I have had in the last 21 years. As an EU citizen, I believe that was necessary for me. Not only am I a person who likes to engage in social activities, but the informative part was even more useful to me because I am studying the direction for which the information gathered in this project is extremely useful. As I have already mentioned, this project provided me with much-needed information for such an important topic and managed to combine it with enjoyable activities and the creative part - I would say a perfect blend.

This was my first experience with Erasmus +. I was learning and developing my soft skills all the time. At first, I was stuck with previous college experience and didn’t know how to do my homework in a more fun and relaxed way. Later, with the help of my colleagues and others involved in the program from Northern Macedonia, Romania and Croatia, I begin to understand the purpose of Erasmus: to connect and develop together with others without limiting the methods of secondary and university education. The main goal of the program was to learn more about different European topics such as: Citizenship, My Voice with the EU, Structured Dialogue, Opportunities for Youth and many others.

This project was an extremely positive experience for me even though it was the first Erasmus project in my life. I was able to meet new people and connect with them. I had the opportunity to work with others as a team towards a goal that taught me a lot. In addition, I got the opportunity to explore Croatia, one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. I totally recommend these projects because they can enrich someone’s culture and improve their communication skills. I have learned a lot of information about the European Union and the range of opportunities it provides us. I am aware of the problems we have and how to deal with them.
