The first cycle of workshops within the "Youth for the Community" project, which was financed by the Central State Office for Demography and Youth, is aimed at informing young people about local strategic documents that are of interest to them.

The cycle of workshops brought together a total of 20 young high school students and students who, through direct meetings and digital tools, researched decision-making processes at the local level and became familiar with the most important document for young people at the local level - the City Action Program for Youth of the City of Samobor.

Most of the young people involved point out the problem of insufficient information about the ways in which they can be involved in the shaping of decisions of their own interest. Most of the time, young people are not aware of how they can participate in dialogue with decision makers and which individuals and bodies they can turn to for advocacy on topics and issues that interest them.

Through this series of workshops, the participants answered the following questions using interactive methods: What is active citizenship and what are my rights and duties as an active citizen? Who makes decisions at the local level and how? What decisions are of interest to me? How can I get involved in shaping them?
