As part of the project "Be my water" on Friday, 19.03. we held the first volunteer action of cleaning and arranging wells in Vrhovčak.

On Friday, 12 volunteers from Samobor arrived at the location in Vrhovčak where there are wells that were once used by the locals as the main source of drinking water. Apart from the visit of some curious mountaineer, the wells have been hidden in the puma for many years, and few have the opportunity to explore their beauty and significance.

The Zagreb County supported the Udrug Pozitiva Samobor in its efforts to breathe new life into the wells, primarily by removing and disposing of improperly disposed waste, and later by arranging the wells themselves.

Several volunteer activities are planned within the project, the first of which was held on March 19. and was focused primarily on the removal of waste, the removal of vegetation and the cleaning of the area around the well.

In the coming days, further activities of waste removal, landscaping and delivery of materials for landscaping the area of the main well are planned.

In the period from 28.03. until 03.04. a group of 20 international participants within the Erasmus+ project "Greenland" will also join the arrangement of the well.
