Hi, I’m Laura!
Zravo!
My name is Laura; I am a Spanish from Burgos.
I studied chemical engineering in Salamanca. Whole my career I worked like a quality engineer in an automotive factory, but I needed a change, a new perspective in my live. I left my job, I felt I couldn´t grow up. Something changed in me when a friend spoke to me about the European Solidarity Corps I found an opportunity to go abroad and learn about other cultures. At that moment I put all my efforts to achieve that goal, be a volunteer in an ecological project. Pozitiva Samobor is giving me this great opportunity, it is a challenge.

Perhaps in the future I would like to be math or chemical teacher, I love working with young people and I will be able to prove myself here with the workshops. One important thing in my life is that I have an old dog; Limon, my life partner.
Now I hope to contribute with new ideas, making workshops and applying gardening knowledge. I planted different vegetables at home; potatoes, garlic, avocado tree and flowers too, it is satisfying to grow your own food. Also the science advances in climate change are interesting for me, there are new ways to improve this global situation. One person can make little changes in his actions for help whole planet. I would like to learn new ways to be more ecological in my day routine and reduce the consumed of resources. I will write about this issue, how to reduce our impact of carbon footprint.

In my free time I love meeting new people. I have participated in exchanges with American, Mexican and Arabic people.
Always that I can I look for natural adventures like camping, hiking, zip lines, surfing… I’m looking forward to canyoning!

Also I love visiting villages, going to the concerts, learning about science, participating in scape rooms, survival zombie games, playing board games, watching series…
I am very grateful to can participate in the Pozitiva Samobor projects because it is the opportunity of my live to learn other culture, in the next posts I will write about this issue to encourage young people to come here.
I am going to give the best of me.

This adventure is beginning, would you like to come with me?
