Hola! I am Cristina and I was born in Granada (Spain), although I have spent practically all my life from here to there. Why?

Well, the first thing I know so far is that twenty days after I was born my parents took me to Tenerife, where I would live for three years. After that, I lived in Madrid until I was twelve. Later, it would be in Granada (again) where my adolescence would take place. There, I would study a Degree in Tourism in the University of Granada and I would discover my true passion.

Although it may seem that the fact of traveling so much was the reason that prompted me to opt for this career I already mentioned, truth is that the cause of it was an exchange I did at the institute back in 2011. In this new country I discovered, Hungary, that way of living a different culture through local people (discovering experiences full of sensations) would leave a mark on me for life. So much so, that this actually motivated me to choose Tourism and not Translation, as well as to continue training later (I studied an Innovation and Digital Marketing Master applied to Tourism), and even to get to start my own project on responsible and sustainable tourism: Viajar Eslou (viajareslou.com). All those steps led me to the
place where I am now: Pozitiva Samobor, in Croatia.

For me, culture is something essential which life would have no meaning without. This exchange of traditions, customs and points of view is what fills me with life but also fills our planet with it (among many other things). In relation to this, one of the things that I love the most about life is generating positive impact with our passions. This is what I have been able to do with my own project but also what I will be able to do for an entire year with Pozitiva Samobor. This experience is the perfect opportunity to meet wider points of view, connect to people on all ages and from all over the world with my same interests and to grow both personally and
professionally. All this, while contributing to develop sustainability at a local and international way. Isn’t it simply amazing?

I am pretty sure that this will be one of those experiences that I will remember for life. Thank you in advance for this opportunity, team (and Croatia)!
